LA HISTORIA DE LONDRES.
Al parecer , los primeros habitantes de la región que ocupa Londres actualmente han sido unas tribus celta . Sin embargo, podemos considerar que el verdadero origen de la ciudad se remonta al año 55 a . c . ,cuando el romano Julio Cesar llegó a la zona y decidió montar un puerto al que llamó Londinium (algo así como “fuerte del lago” en bretón) , en la ribera norte del estuario del Támesis. La ciudad se desarrolló ; se construyó un puente sobre el río y Londinium se convirtió en el punto comercial más importante en ese sector del imperio. Los romanos levantaron un templo en honor de Mitra y una gran muralla perimetral ; algunos de sus vestigios son todavía visible hoy.
THE HISTORY OF LONDON.
Apparently, the first inhabitants of the region that occupies London nowadays have been a few tribes Celtic. Nevertheless, we can think that the real origin of the city goes back to 55 B.C., when the Roman Julio Cesar came to the zone and decided to mount a port to which it called Londinium (something like " loudly of the lake " in Breton), in the north bank of the estuary of the Thames. The city developed; a bridge was constructed on the river and Londinium turned into the most important commercial point into this sector of the empire. The Romans raised a temple in honor of Miter and a great wall perimetral; some of his vestiges are a still visible today.
